AVANCE -North Texas Appreciation Breakfast

AVANCE-North Texas recently hosted its annual Appreciation Breakfast, a special event to express gratitude to all the school directors who generously open their doors for the Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP). Upon arrival, guests enjoyed some of the city’s most delicious burritos, accompanied by coffee and fresh fruit.

During the event, the AVANCE team shared a unique experience by hosting a toy-making workshop, one of the unique features of PCEP. Attendees participated in creating the Happy and Sad Face Pillow, a toy used to support the socio-emotional development of young children. Activities with the pillow help children gradually learn to recognize and understand their emotions. Each participant had the opportunity to craft their own pillow while learning how this type of activity is conducted in the classroom.

It was a morning filled with gratitude, learning, and teamwork. We are deeply thankful for the ongoing support of the schools, churches, and community centers that welcome us, allowing us to continue strengthening and supporting families in their journey of learning and growth.
