AVANCE Announces Partnership with America Forward Coalition
AVANCE is partnering with America Forward, the nonpartisan policy initiative of national venture philanthropy fund New Profit. This new partnership, built on shared values and a common vision, will strengthen AVANCE’s efforts to build thriving communities by ensuring Latino children and caregivers have equitable access to the resources and opportunities crucial to their success.
America Forward connects impact-oriented organizations with policymakers to drive a public policy agenda that champions innovative and effective solutions to the nation’s most pressing social problems. Key to this mission is the America Forward Coalition, a national network of more than 100 organizations dedicated to advancing equity, fostering innovation, and catalyzing cross-sector partnerships in education, early childhood, workforce development, youth development, and poverty alleviation.
For more than 50 years, AVANCE has pioneered culturally responsive, two-generation programming. In just the last five years, AVANCE has seen significant growth in its programs, and through strategic partnerships, the organization continues to scale its reach and impact across the country. Recognizing the critical role of public policy in addressing systemic inequities, AVANCE has been steadily increasing efforts to educate policymakers and ensure that policies reflect the needs and experiences of Latino communities.
Joining the America Forward Coalition enhances AVANCE’s ability to advocate for systemic changes that will significantly benefit under-resourced Latino communities. As a coalition member, AVANCE hopes to leverage its local successes to drive national change, drawing on the coalition’s collective expertise to strengthen its programs and expand the organization’s impact beyond its current reach.
