AVANCE Joins the National Collaborative for Infants & Toddlers
to Advocate for Early Childhood Development
AVANCE is proud to announce its official membership in the National Collaborative for Infants & Toddlers (NCIT). NCIT is an advocacy movement committed to ensuring expectant parents, infants, toddlers, and families have what they need to thrive. This partnership marks a significant step forward in AVANCE’s advocacy efforts.
AVANCE has been a leader in providing culturally sensitive, two-generation programming within Latino communities for over 50 years. AVANCE’s core is the Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP), an evidence-based program focusing on early childhood and parenting education. The AVANCE PCEP builds on the belief that parents are their children’s first teachers and that the home is the first classroom.
As a member of the NCIT network, AVANCE will work alongside other advocates to champion promising prenatal-to-three (PN-3) policies that create and expand systems of care and support for families.
“Joining NCIT amplifies our efforts to support families and ensure a strong start for all children,” said Jocelynn Bryant-Rojas, Associate Director of Advocacy at AVANCE. “We know supporting our little ones in their earliest years helps them grow into healthy, confident kids ready for success. The positive impact of that strong foundation ripples across our communities, workforce, and the overall economy.”
NCIT began in 2017 with initial support from the Pritzker Children’s Initiative. The Collaborative connects advocates, leaders, philanthropists, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners who share an interest in addressing the needs of young children. It focuses on raising awareness about equitable PN-3 policies and sharing strategies to support infants, toddlers, and their families.
AVANCE and NCIT invite everyone to join the movement advocating for expectant parents, infants, and toddlers. To learn more about NCIT and how you can get involved, visit ncit.org.
