Quality Child Care Matters (QCCM) is on the move, and we’re thrilled to announce its expansion into Houston and the Rio Grande Valley! This expansion is a significant leap forward in our mission to empower at-home child care providers. As QCCM takes root in these vibrant communities, it brings a wealth of opportunities for local providers to elevate the care they offer and sharpen their entrepreneurial skills.
This summer, Houston will be the first to welcome QCCM! Known for its diverse and dynamic atmosphere, Houston provides the perfect backdrop for at-home providers to thrive under the QCCM program. The excitement will continue through October with the debut of QCCM in the Rio Grande Valley, where communities are eager to grow and enhance child care services. Providers in the Valley will soon have access to tailored workshops and resources that foster professional and personal growth.
Juan Lara, Director of QCCM, shares his enthusiasm about the expansion, “Expanding QCCM is incredibly exciting, particularly because it means enhancing the quality of child care for at-home child care providers. It demonstrates our commitment to improving the standards of care in home-based settings. By offering support, training, and resources tailored to at-home providers, we’re elevating the level of care children receive and empowering business owners with the tools they need to thrive.”
Connecting the expansion to AVANCE’s broader goals, Juan says, “In the context of AVANCE’s strategic plan, this focus on at-home child care providers aligns with our commitment to community engagement and outreach. By extending our reach to support these caregivers, we’re strengthening our ties with communities and ensuring that every child, regardless of where they receive care, has access to high-quality early childhood experiences.”
With each new city QCCM reaches, we strengthen our network and widen our impact, illustrating how collaboration within the AVANCE network can propel our mission forward. By pooling our resources and knowledge, we can extend the reach of our programs and ensure that more children and providers benefit from our proven approaches to quality care.
“Quality child care is a cornerstone of early childhood development, laying the foundation for future academic success. By investing in the skills and knowledge of at-home providers, we’re directly contributing to the educational outcomes of the children they serve,” Juan adds.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to grow and enrich the lives of children and providers across our network.
