Congratulations to Miguel Venegas, Program Coordinator for AVANCE-Austin
Our November honoree is Miguel Venegas, Program Coordinator at AVANCE-Austin. His colleagues describe a leader who is simply there. He makes time for questions and worries, asks his team how they are doing, and meets both staff and families with real empathy. He leads by example, stays flexible, and builds a workplace where people feel valued.
Nominators also pointed to how far he has come. Several have watched Miguel grow since his early days at AVANCE and credit his constant learning for the leader he is today. He takes on challenges before they grow, uses data to guide decisions and build trust, and keeps families at the center of the work, looking every day for ways to keep families engaged and welcome new ones.
